MELON

It is cultivated as a culture almost everywhere in Turkey. It is an annual, rejuvenating, grassy summer fruit that opens small yellow flowers in the spring. In the tropic and temperate regions of the world, agriculture is being cultivated. The main homeland of the world famous cantaloupe melon is Van and Diyarbakır region. In the Aegean region Especially in Manisa and the "kırkağaç" melon farming is very common. Durable and very delicious, these peaks can also be exported at the same time. The varieties produced from Kırkaağaç melon are called "hasanbey, altınbaş, sliced and hallaç".
